Description:

Join CCE members on a field trip to tour a newly constructed wetland in Avondale.  The new wetland was constructed downstream of White Clay Creek in an area that floods regularly creating hazardous road conditions and damage to local infrastructure.  Your tour leader from the Stroud Research Center will take you through the project’s design & installation which was funded in part by a federal grant aimed reduce flooding across the watershed.

Participants will earn 2 PDHs.

Gather at the Stroud Research Center.  (See directions HERE.)   You can park anywhere in their lot, including the car-pool/low-e parking areas.  You will be collected up by the tour guide from the handicapped parking area.  Please make plans to arrive prior to 3pm so you don’t miss travel to the nearby project site.
