Providing cost effective alternatives to traditional deep foundations. Soft soils such as clays, high water tables, poorly placed fill, and urban soils often are unsuitable for traditional, cost-effective foundations. While it is common to design deep foundations such as piles, helical piers, micro piles, and the like; this approach is often too expensive and the project is delayed or abandoned. Common “remove and replace” is expensive given the high costs of trucking as well as the potential of exported soils that do not meet clean fill standards.
